Saturn Acquires Two New Mania T8T AOI Machines
Monday, May 18, 2009 | Saturn Electronics Corporation

Saturn Electronics Corporation, bare printed circuit board manufacturer, announced it has taken delivery of two new Mania T8T Automated Optical Inspection units for inner and outer layer inspection from Guardien (the new company formed from Mania's insolvency). This brings the total number of AOI's installed within the past year to three. Once installed, the AOIs will significantly broaden Saturn's capabilities and capacity, and reflect the company's continued strategic focus of reinvesting to increase customer expectations pertaining to quality.

"The current economic environment makes this investment seem out of place," says Yash Sutariya, Vice President of Saturn. "However, focusing on our long term objectives is paramount regardless of the economic climate and depressed business levels. During the last downturn, many PCB manufacturers in North America shut off the investment spigot, only to find themselves too far behind in technology to catch up once the industry turned around.  We are committed not to be in this position once a recovery begins."
